Prayers for the upcoming election of America
There are only a few more days left until America holds its national election and decides the future direction of the United States of America.
Throughout world history, man has turned to God for Divine assistance. God has favored that mankind express their wishes through prayers and fasting. At critical points in time - prayers and fasting are not only appropriate - but is imperative.
Now is that time !
America has two clear choices in this upcoming election. There is truth and there is deception. The secular society and media have distorted the truth to their own liking. And we must ask God to shine His light on the darkness and make visible the path America must take.
As the Lord said,
" Woe to those who call evil good and good evil; who put darkness for light and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!"
(Isaiah 5:20)
Prayer Campaign 2008 is an ecumenical effort of prayers and fasting from now until the election. We are presenting this for faith-filled people who, led by the Holy Spirit, will join in the following prayer intentions:
- For the United States of America to turn to God - to love God above all else and to love neighbor as self;
- For national laws that protect and save the unborn, and protect marriage and families;
- For the upcoming election of America.
And to say this Prayer daily.
Lord God, help us to live Your two great commandments: to love God above all else and to put our neighbor before ourselves. We give to You our love in every thought, word, and deed so that we may be Your love in the world, now. Envelop this prayer from our heart in the immense Divine Love from Your Heart. Make this prayer an instrument of Your Divine Will. Amen.
Heavenly Father, help our country. Obtain for us a president and other political leaders who will help the United States become a country of great purity and high morality. Accept our prayer that our next president will support life for each individual at every stage, uphold family life, and influence other countries throughout the world to love God above all else and neighbor as self, to serve Him, and to live for Him alone.
May our Eternal Father shine His Light upon our country and the whole world. Amen.
Fasting:
- Fast from your own will and self love. Surrender being in the spot light. Give up having your own way. Doing as you choose when you choose it. Instead make yourself little. (This is the best way to fast) or Any effort in sacrifice or fasting
God will take the least effort and make it great.
Pray not that God be on our side but that we may be on the side of God. Your prayers are important.
